I check this blog site every day. Some of this checking is from my sick obsession to see how many people are reading it. I figure it to be caused by equal parts of1) Wanting to increase Pagewood Farm name recognition and 2) My ego at having my blog read. The other reason I check it is for feedback. Part of the reason for that is 2) above. The other part is the same thing that keeps me lurking on Ravelry; the need to get feedback on our products and service. Every once in a while I’ll read some complain on Ravelry and that complainer will get a message from me asking how we can make something right.
Other times, I will find some great creation on Ravelry and that creator will get a message from me asking to use their photos. (that’s later in this blog).
I’ve had some requests for information about our U-Knitted Nations yarns. Here it is. The photo below shows our Hand Spun Bouquet. It is a hand spun wool (50 yards per approx. 5.5 oz 165grm). It is hand spun in Latin America and they tie felted flowers onto the yarn. This photo shows 5 of the available colors. We are updating our website to include a section on Hand Spun Bouquet.
![]() This next photo is of another popular U-Knitted Nations yarn called Giant Purls (get it? Pearls? to Purls?) It is a 70 yard skein of hand spun yarn with felted balls tied onto it. I felt that Giant Purls was a cute name (consider the alternative) and very descriptive. Giant Purls are available in Natural and in our 14 tone-on-tone solids. This photo shows several of the colors.
Duty calls (more yarn to ship) so I will continue with some creations tomorrow. |
